area of special education at Marathon County Special Education’s
20th Annual Recognition Dinner. The event was held at the Holiday Inn
and Suites Conference Center, Mosinee, on May 13, 2004.

from the candidate’s instructional leadership; the ways the candidate
has contributed to the curriculum and staff morale; the unique service
the candidate has performed beyond his/her regular duties; and the recognition
others have given the candidate as a force for constructive change.

EDDIE Awards were presented to staff for ‘Exceptional Demonstration
of Dedicated Individuals in Education”. The award acknowledges
staff and programs that are creative in their efforts to support and
motivate all learners and exemplify educational strategies that help
students to meet challenges with success.
Jean Graveen was recognized for 30 years of service. Janine Wolfe for
20 years of service. Completing 15 years of service were Kay Broeske
and Kathleen Grell.
In addition over 40 regular education
teachers from the six districts representing Marathon County Special
Education were recognized for their contributions in educating students
with disabilities.
